Reflecting on 2022

2022 was a busy and successful year for the ProSearch team. President and Founder of ProSearch, Ed McKersie shares his thoughts on wrapping up the year.

In November of 2017, ProSearch converted to an ESOP, meaning that our employees became co-owners of Maine’s largest recruiting and staffing firm. Reflecting back on that decision and the five years that have passed since then, it was the best decision I could have made for our firm. We already had an ownership culture, but giving employees a real stake in the future success of ProSearch has been game-changing. Even during the worst of COVID, our team has stayed focused and excited about the future. We have supported one another, developed a remote work model while maintaining our culture, and added several people to our team while our competitors scaled back.

Looking at our results for 2022, in many ways this has been our best year! Pushing through an employment market that many have described as unprecedented, our team has worked harder than ever before to deliver results. The pride in our fellow co-owners is palpable and as we build our plans for 2023, we know that our continued success is based on the trust we have for each other and the trust that our clients and temporary/contract employees have with us again this year.
