ProSearch, an employee-owned Maine-based recruiting and staffing firm, announced it has acquired Technology Search Partners (TSP) of Portsmouth, NH. TSP, established in 2007 and privately held, specializes in recruiting and staffing information technology professionals.
“This acquisition is important to our continued growth plans, and is a natural fit for our team,” said Ed McKersie, founder and president of ProSearch. “We had done business with TSP for many years. They share our values and have a well-deserved reputation for building long-term relationships with their clients and job seekers and IT contractors.”
McKersie continued, “Our team of co-owners is excited to leverage our investment in technology and our people as we welcome the TSP team into the fold. Our history is based in Maine, and our focus will continue to be Maine’s most trusted recruiting and staffing partner, but we now have employees and clients in 38 states. Adding the expertise and experience of the TSP team gives us even deeper ties in markets throughout New England and nationally.”
Bill Sollitto, founder of TSP, commented, “When I looked to retire, my #1 priority was ensuring my talented and loyal team would be able to join a like-minded firm. I’ve known and worked closely with Ed McKersie for over 30 years. Ed had initially hired me into the industry long before we’d each founded our own firms. To come full circle like this with such an exceptional and amazingly compatible firm, and moreover, with a trusted colleague and lifelong friend is special.” Sollitto will stay on as a consultant for ProSearch.
Chad Merwin, who had run TSP for years and will spearhead ProSearch’s efforts in NH, MA, and beyond, reflected on the union of TSP and ProSearch: “We’ve enjoyed collaborating with ProSearch for years. Our company cultures are very similar, and our philosophy on how we treat our clients and our candidates is identical. This is an exciting time for all of us!”
Added Tom Moore, who’d led recruiting at TSP, “Bill involved us in the lengthy deliberation process. After very careful consideration, we cannot think of a better fit for TSP. We look forward to a very bright future at ProSearch.”
ProSearch, established in Portland, Maine in 1994, became 100 percent employee-owned in 2017. The firm has three lines of business: recruiting, temporary staffing, and IT contract staffing.
