Temp to Hire Patient Care Representative- Specialty Office
The Patient Care Representative position is responsible for scheduling and coordinating all internal and external appointments and procedures for patients. This individual completes all non-clinical orders within patient chart, maintains physicians daily appointment schedules and calendars for assigned providers within EMR, Outlook and staff scheduling software. Secondarily, Patient Care Reps answer multi-line phones: triage calls, resolves issues and answers questions, takes detailed messages, redirects callers if necessary, forwarding calls to appropriate persons. You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality, meeting deadlines, and problem solving. You will demonstrate superior customer service skills and be an effective team player.
The ideal candidate for this role is customer service-oriented, compassionate and upbeat. The role requires excellent communication skills, solid technical abilitys/ability to learn new software and maintain an organized desk. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in healthcare.
Position is located in Scarborough, Maine and does require candidates to work onsite, Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm.
$20-23/hr, depending on experience.
