Provider Service Representative  – Portland, ME

Responds to provider inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, plan coverage, claims, billing, and payments for Medicare programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate information via phone, email, and electronic inquiries.
  • Educate providers on policies, procedures, and self-service options.
  • Resolve inquiries within established timeframes, collaborating with internal teams when necessary.
  • Stay informed on policies and updates.
  • Document all inquiries with detailed and accurate information.
  • Build strong provider relationships through excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of customer service experience (medical billing preferred).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and handle stressful situations.
Hybrid work environment (part time work in Portland. 3-6 month temporary assignment. Excellent opportunity for a candidate with great customer service skills and previous experience working with providers.

Immediate need. $19-23/hr. Monday-Friday, 8-4:30.
