Temporary Administrative Specialist I – Annual Giving Support

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill a temporary administrative position, working under the direction of the Annual Giving Manager. This position plays a crucial role in providing administrative, project, and operational support for both the Annual Giving Program and Philanthropy Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Provide operational support to departmental leadership.
  • Perform support duties requiring experience, skill, and knowledge of organizational policies and practices.
  • Utilize various business software applications for correspondence, database management, reporting, presentations, and more.
  • Maintain files, records, and complex calendars.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment, including scheduling service appointments.

Customer Service:

  • Handle incoming calls, visitors, mail, and email.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding departmental policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and discretion in interactions with various stakeholders.

Project Support:

  • Coordinate events within the department.
  • Act as a member of the department project team, seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Assist with project data collection and provide comprehensive support for departmental projects.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. Experience: 4-5 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred.
  3. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite products.
  5. Strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
