Technical Writer
Responsibilities:
- Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension on information security related topics.
- Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
- Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately documented.
- Analyze information required for the development or update of information security policy, procedure, and form documentation.
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
- Develop documentation that follows a common policy and provides the framework for our client that relates back to all required standards.
- Facilitates timely communications with program managers, outside contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss business problems, corrective action plans, and related organizational issues.
- Efficiently review and edit documents so they present the clearest and most logical way to present information Effective written and oral communication skills Knowledge of information security concepts.
- Knowledge of information systems, concepts, and design techniques.
- Ability to develop plans, policies and procedures that meet regulatory compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of NIST Framework, especially NIST SP 800-53.
- Ability to gather, assemble, calculate, and analyze facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to analyze and interpret laws, rules, standards, and regulations. The skills to articulate policy guidance to all stakeholders is critical to this role.
- Improved understanding of information security laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
