Our Maine-based client is seeking to add a Network Administrator to its growing team. This Direct Hire position can be worked on a hybrid or remote schedule. This position is responsible for assisting with the overall network administration ensuring the proper functionality, backup, and security of the entire network infrastructure (WAN/LAN) spanning across all office locations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   
  • Ensures all network servers, LAN, and Wide Area Network communications are fully functional and secure.
  • Ensures all servers (virtual and physical) are functional and capable of performing required business functions.
  • Configure and install new and replacement hardware and software including physical and virtual servers, desktop computers, switches, routers, access points, and firewalls.
  • Ensures all servers and selected individual computer data is properly archived and secured in a manner allowing for business continuation during disaster situations.
  • Continually practices proper security procedures with respect to internet access, data access, anti-virus protection, user password protection, file system rights and permissions, and intrusion.
  • Respond to Intrusion Detection System and Host Intrusion Detection System alerts and take action when necessary.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field or relevant experience
  • 2-4 years of related working experience.
  • Security training and/or experience including firewall configurations, proxy servers, Cisco Routers and switches, Wi-Fi, and any other network attached devices.
  • Knowledge and experience in Wide Area Networking and Cisco Routing Protocols.
  • CCNA/CCENT certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server Networks and Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Desktop: Windows 10, Windows 11
  • Knowledge of Virtualization and SAN
  • Excellent troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills are a must.
