Our client, a large financial services company, is seeking a Director of Partner Marketing to add to their growing leadership team.

 

Seeking a strategic Director, Partner Marketing to lead a talented team of Partner Marketing professionals responsible for collaborating with Merchant Partners to define and implement strategic initiatives that drive Partner revenue growth, retention, and satisfaction. Working with the Senior Director, Marketing, will serve as a key member of the marketing leadership team to influence product value propositions and integrated marketing strategies that deliver Partner growth and success utilizing the company’s trade credit program.

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Help build and scale a best-in-class Partner marketing Center-of-Excellence for the credit program
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director, Client Management and team to help define account growth and communication strategies
  • Develop relationships with senior business and marketing leaders within Partner accounts to understand Partner goals and to influence value propositions and marketing strategies aligned with both Partner and company goals and policies

 

  • Provide strategic guidance and best-practices to support the team’s role as key members of collaborative cross-functional teams that support the onboarding, growth, and retention of Partners

 

  • Leverage customer insights, competitor insights, analytics and creative thinking to help your team develop compelling marketing plans to support Partner business goals

 

  • Identify potential marketing and communications challenges or impediments to the success of Partner onboarding, growth or retention, and solve or escalate to senior leadership as necessary

 

  • Employ a test-and-learn mentality and data-centered approach in the development of marketing recommendations; openly share learnings across all teams to influence product and process enhancements to better meet the needs of Partners
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director, Marketing and other senior team leaders on strategic Partner business development initiatives by contributing marketing insights, recommendations, and strategies that help differentiate us in the Partner acquisition process; lead Partner marketing strategy and execution on complex, strategic, and/or unique Partner relationships
  • Manage business planning and budgeting for the Partner Marketing function
    •  Inspire, empower, and develop a team (of currently 4) Partner Marketing professionals to deliver their best work and achieve their professional goals

  • Has experience responding to RFIs/RFPs, as well as crafting and delivering presentations

 

    • Can manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work

 

  • Is a fast learner, creative thinker, and insights driven

 

  • Maintains knowledge of competitive trends, industry trends, and functional best-practices; ensures team continuously develops to meet the needs of a rapidly changing environment

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Military experience
  • At least 10 years of B2B marketing experience in a broad range of marketing functions including strategy, brand, demand generation, direct marketing and digital marketing.
  • At least 7 years of leadership experience building, leading, and developing teams
  • At least 5 years in Partner marketing and relationship management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Business
  • Combination of agency and business-side experiences
  • 5 or more years of experience in financial services
  • 5 or more years of experience marketing complex, tech-enabled solutions to C-level decision makers
  • Sales or business development experience

 

Successful candidates will have a combination of agency and business-side experience, experience marketing to C-level decision-makers and have strong partner marketing exposure. 

Salary will depend on experience and includes excellent benefits.
