We are excited to be partnering with Horch Roofing in their search for a CFO to add to their leadership team.

Since 2003, Horch Roofing has been Maine's dependable expert for roofing and gutter replacement and repairs. They serve the communities of coastal Maine including Warren, Portland, South Portland, ME and beyond.

The Chief Financial Officer directs and oversees the financial activities of the company. They ensure the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, create forecasts predicting future growth, and secure the financial health of the company across all business locations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage the financial activities across all business locations and adhering to GAAP established by the SEC and other regulatory agencies.

Partner with the executive team to establish priorities for the planning process, including identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion of services.

Analyze business systems, processes, and results to identify opportunities for better use of resources, vendors, and practices.

Analyze productivity results, overhead expenses, and profits to ensure the employee value proposition remains cost effective. Included in this analysis are:

Analyze operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.

Study long-range economic trends and projects and their impact on future growth in sales and market share.

Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.

Provide weekly/monthly reports to Executive team to detail current trends

Recommend changes to reconcile unsatisfactory results in both expenses and profits

Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.

Establish and maintains effective banking relationships to enable the company to select the most efficient banking resource for each project.

 

Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skills are considered essential

 ? Eight+ years of experience in financial management required

 ? Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred

 ? Certified Public Accountant designation preferred Education Requirements:

? Knowledge of the following:

-Building and Construction-General knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, building, and the roofing industry.

-Mechanical-Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

– Engineering and Technology-Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services typically encountered in the roofing

Salary will depend on experience. Compensation includes full, strong benefits.  This role will be based in South Portland, ME with some time spent in Warren, ME.
