The Director of Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the development and execution of category sourcing strategies to assure supply, quality, and cost competitiveness. Responsible for providing end to end supply chain support. The position reports to the CEO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and support strategies, programs, and policies for both commodities and finished products that meet short- and long-term operational requirements of the Company.

• Communicate performance against category strategies and goals to key stakeholders on a regular basis.

• Negotiate and execute key contracts in alignment with sourcing strategies to create the best value for the products being sourced.

• Foster effective relationships and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to build alignment on strategic initiatives and projects.

• Lead and facilitate the evaluation of suppliers and product categories to assure supply, reduce risk, and ensure compliance with government regulations.

• Collaborate with Research and Development team on supplier issues to ensure they are communicated, reviewed, and addressed adequately or provide alternative solutions.

• Engage with key stakeholders to manage supply chain, demand planning, supply planning, distribution, and logistics to support organizational goals to maximize value and efficiency.

• Lead the online store function including vendor sourcing and management.

• Manage a future retail product division within the company with an eye on quality assurance and distribution.

• Source equipment for shops, negotiating pricing and managing vendor relationships.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Food Science, or related field required.

• Minimum five plus (5+) of experience in strategic sourcing / procurement required.

• Demonstrated record of accomplishment building and driving high-performance teams. Success hiring, coaching, and retaining top talent; relentlessly foster a high-performance culture.

• Proven history of success in developing and executing sourcing strategies.

• Prior large organization management experience in the food services industry a plus.

• Proven success as an effective communicator throughout the organization and across multi-level personnel both internally and externally.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and maintain a high attention to detail.
